    • Young people affected by STIs are often the same young people who participate in faith communities.

    • Due to longstanding inequities, African American and Latinx youth experience significantly higher rates of STIs than white youth (CDC).

    • All STIs are treatable, and most are curable.

    • Stigma, fear, shame, and lack of knowledge prevent many young people from seeking testing or treatment.

  • The Interfaith STI Prevention and Treatment Toolkit is a learning guide that helps faith leaders teach their communities how to stay healthy. It shares easy‑to‑understand information about preventing and treating STIs, while also supporting health, well‑being, and faith values through Sermon Notes.

    The Interfaith Sexual Health Curriculum is a faith‑guided lesson plan with simple, step‑by‑step activities that help adults talk with young people about healthy, respectful relationships, good communication, and honoring personal boundaries. It also teaches ways to care for our bodies and make healthy choices, reminding us that caring for ourselves and others is part of living out our faith.
